Portable lifting devices are not new. What is new is the enormous capacity of the
Feltes Gantry. Standard units can lift up to 1.5 tonnes, and there are a variety
of styles and working dimensions that cater for special applications. Is it expensive?
No. The portability of the Feltes Gantry makes redundant the need for multiple fixed

Applications
Feltes Gantry cranes remain as versatile as the hand tools in a tradeperson's tool
kit. The portability of the knock-down components allows gantry use in nearly any
lifting application, whether dusty, hot or cold, in a remote location or up in a
high-rise building. This makes the Feltes Gantry handy in service workshops, air-conditioning
plants, sewage treatment facilities, and a host of applications where versatility
and muscle are required.
Four basic configurations of the Feltes mean that there should be a unit suitable
for your lift and place application. The Feltes all-aluminium construction is supported
with a variety of key 'knock-down' assemblies. Whilst the monorail beam is a one-piece
member, it's length can be ordered to suit your workarea. This means that if you
have a lift to perform in a cramped, remote location, then we have it covered.
The aluminium extrusions of the Feltes Gantry makes it safe to use in nearly all
environments, indoors or outdoors. The side frames allow for adjustment over uneven
surfaces, as well as the selection of monorail height. The generous length of the
monorail beam permits load shifting, from floor to workbench, sump to ute, pallet
to machine bed.
The best feature of the Feltes Gantry is its mass-to-lift ratio. The gantry, when
assembled, typically weighs as little as 120 kg (depending on the model) yet the
entire assembly can safely lift up to 1500 kg.
The user-friendly nature of the gantry, mixed with its intuitive assembly, makes
the Feltes Gantry ready for use in a broad range of industries and applications.
Technical
The Feltes Gantry is available in two construction types - stationary and moveable.
The moveable type includes end frames that are designed to be free standing (four
wheels per frame) to permit easy erection. Wheel loads are mimimal so relocation
of the gantry is possible - even with the maximum load attached. The stationary
type shares the same overhead beam and load carrying beam trolley.
Stationary end frames are available in a low-cost one piece construction, as well
as a tight-space folding version. Three frame heights, 'Mini', 'Standard', and 'Maxi'
aid the optimisation of your work environment. Individual leg height adjustment
is standard on the stationary end frames, allowing a safe and steady lift over uneven
surfaces.
All end frames are paired. One side acts as a pin connection with the second frame
including an adjustable position clamp. Load carrying trolleys permit lateral movement
and positioning of loads. Monorail beams are stocked in a variety of lengths, to
suit effective spans of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 metres.
Optional accessories include a wall mount bracket for semi-portal configurations,
as well as individual wheel kits for stationary end frames. (Wheel kits provide
rolling movement of the unloaded gantry) A variety of lifting equipment can be attached
to the load trolley, including manual chain blocks, lever blocks, air-driven and
electric chain hoists.
The maximimum load for the stationary gantry is 1500 kg. The maximum load on the
moveable gantry is 1000 kg. The capacity of the device is moderated by the length
of the monorail beam.
